Charise Morgan

Charise A. Morgan is an accomplished trial attorney, Bar leader, and community contributor. She currently serves as Staff Legal Counsel for Zurich North America, protecting the interests of insureds in all phases of complex liability litigation.

Ms. Morgan previously served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Georgia Department of Labor, adjudicating employment litigation claims. She is a proud graduate of Mercer University School of Law, where she earned the CALI Award for Appellate Practice and Procedure, and of Florida International University, where she attended on a full academic Golden Drum Scholarship, earning a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Florida.

Throughout her career, Ms. Morgan has demonstrated her commitment to service. She is the current president of the Miami-Dade Bar, the largest voluntary bar association in the State of Florida, which serves the nearly 20,000 attorneys in Miami-Dade County. She is also a liaison on the Florida Bar Board of Governors, Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Rules of Civil Procedure committee, and Vice Chair of the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism. Ms. Morgan is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and an Ambassador for Black Art at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). In 2018, Ms. Morgan became the president of the Caribbean Bar Association, one of only five organizations in the United States created to connect Caribbean and Caribbean-American lawyers and judges, and to make legislative and policy recommendations supporting the Caribbean-American community in Florida. Ms. Morgan is the proud daughter of a Jamaican father and Trinidadian mother and credits her West Indian upbringing for instilling a deep respect for the law and giving back.  

Ms. Morgan served as the 2025 keynote speaker for the Annual West Perrine CDC MLK Champions day and has received the 2025 St. Thomas University BLSA Legacy of Excellence award. Ms. Morgan is a recipient of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade County’s 2024 Top 25 Most Influential Women in Business. She was recognized by Dade Legal Aid in November 2024 for outstanding dedication and service to the Miami-Dade legal community, a 2023 inductee to the Miami-Dade Bar Circle of Excellence for Insurance Litigation and awarded the 2023 Miami-Dade Bar Top 40 Under 40 Award, the 2021 Broward County Women Lawyers Community “Trial-Blazers” award, the Black Professionals Network 2020 Women of Excellence award, and the 2019 Legacy Magazine Prominent Women in Business and Industry award.  She is a 2019 graduate of the Florida Bar William Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy, and served on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division from 2018 – 2022, being awarded the 2022 President’s Award for outstanding service and contribution to the betterment of the legal profession. 

Ms. Morgan has spoken on community and legal panels statewide, and moderated candidate and judicial panels throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
