Viola Judon, Captain
Pembroke Pines Police Department
Captain Viola Judon began her Law Enforcement career as a Communication Operator with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and later became a Detention Deputy Correction Officer.
In 2003, she began her career with the City of Pembroke Pines Police Department. She has served in the following positions Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, and Community Affairs Officer. In 2017, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. While in this capacity, she has served in the Patrol Division as the Internal Affairs Sergeant and the School Resource Officer/Threat Assessment Team Sergeant. She is currently a member of the Public Information Officer Team. In 2022, she was promoted to the rank of Captain as the first African American female command staff member at the Pembroke Pines Police Department. She is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.
Captain Judon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is currently an adjunct instructor at the Institute of Public Safety at Broward College. She is a proud member of the NOBLE, South Florida Chapter. She currently serves on the 2023-2024 Executive Board as the Executive Vice President.
Captain Judon has completed hundreds of hours in specialized training and leadership courses, including the 1st session of the Public Safety Leadership Academy at Broward College. Captain Judon recently graduated from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) Supervisory and Professional Development Program. She is a member of the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE). She is passionate and dedicated to building bridges between Law Enforcement and our youth in the community by hosting mentoring sessions at various schools. She assists youth and adults with the NOBLE Law and Your Community.
In conclusion, she is the proud parent of two beautiful daughters and two granddaughters.
